It is easy to love those seen as good,
always understood,
one shared neighborhood.
Not so simple for those perceived as bad,
hard to understand,
alone they must stand.
Try to find a way to walk in their shoes,
break all old abuse,
provide better views.
What if life was changed? What if they were you?
pray that help comes through,
not knowing from who.
Stand within warm light, surrounded by dark,
recognize the sparks,
being kind leaves marks.
Traced smile on their face, throw some joy their way,
watch as old fears sway,
to fly far away.
Anger soon subsides so pure hearts can guide,
love will challenge pride,
clear paths offer rides.
Forgiveness leads fate, release worn mistakes,
bright days lead to fate,
kindness can cure hate.
