PREGNANT.

CHAPTER 2.
It’s been a couple of weeks since I left my brother’s house and started staying with Odell, the father of my unborn child. I haven’t talked to my brother in weeks which is very usual. We grew up very close, and we did everything together. I miss him, but what he did was shady, and I won’t apologize to him.

“Hey Ash, come on. We’ll be late to your check-up,” Odell said. Odell has been helping me out with trying to keep the baby healthy. He’s been the best father-to-be, and I’m so thankful. We haven’t talked about where we will go from here; we have been just putting it to the side. He doesn’t talk to me like we used to, which I was afraid would happen.

“Coming,” I replied. I grabbed my purse and gym bag, went down the stairs, and ended up in the foyer. Odell took my gym bag, and we walked out of the house and to his car. As we were walking to his car, another car pulled in. I knew right away that it was August.

“Let’s go,” I told Odell. He was waiting at the car door, he wouldn’t open the door instead, he stood in front of the door.

He looked at me, “Don’t you think you should talk to him?”

I sighed, “No, I don’t.” He didn’t budge, and so August parked and got out of the car. I walked to the car and leaned up against it, and waited. August walked up to us and stayed a reasonable distance away.

He greeted, “Wassup Odell.”

Odell opened his mouth, “Sup, I forgot something.”

“No. You will not leave,” I ordered. Odell nodded and went to the front of the car and waited.

“Hey, baby sis,” August finally acknowledged me.

“Auggy,” I replied. He walked over next to me and leaned against the car. He looked up at the sky, and so did I.

“Great day today,” he smiled.

I nodded, “Yeah.” He turned his attention back to me; I looked at the ground.

“Ash, I fucked up. I never should have gone with some girl, family before hoes. I’m sorry that I turned my back on you; I feel completely lost knowing I don’t have my sister with me. We are fam, and we ain’t supposed to be like that,” he apologized.

I let out a big sigh, “Thank you. I feel the same.” He pulled me into an embrace; I hadn’t realized I’d been crying until August wiped the tears from my eyes.

Odell spoke up, “As much as I love family moments, we’re going to be late.”

“Where y’all headed,” Aug asked?

“To the gym, and then a doctor’s appointment,” Odell explained. August looked me over then he looked at Odell.

“You gained weight, Ash” he made it a question, a question I wasn’t quite ready to answer. I looked back at Odell; he grabbed my hand and nodded his head.

I took a deep breath, “August, I’m pregnant.” He didn’t say anything; he just looked at me. Then he looked at Odell, and Odell nodded his head.

“What the fuck, man! You got my sister pregnant” august went off.

“Aug, it’s not his fault” I stepped in between. Odell pushed me to the side, shaking his head.

“Da fuck it is! You don’t have both a dick and a pussy! Nigga, why do you do this. This is my little sister,” August argued. I slapped August, and I got his attention, well, both their attention.

“We were both drunk. I pushed myself onto Odell. We were both in the wrong; now we got the consequences, deal with it or get out of our way. We both are being responsible adults here, now is your turn,” I explained. August sighed and looked away from us, taking a minute to himself.

August looked at me, “Fine, your right. I’ll be an adult bout did, but if you fuck my sister over, man...”

“I ain’t,” was Odell’s response. I sighed, finally. Thank God he kept his cool about it. For now.

“Did you tell mom and dad?” August asked? I looked away at the ground; of course, I didn’t tell them.

“No. I didn’t plan to,” I mumbled.

“Whatchu mean, they’ll be glad to finally get grandkid finally,” August beamed. Not from me, I thought. My parents always thought I’d be the fuck up in the family, even though I tried my hardest to be the best daughter for them.

“Maybe. I’ll tell them some other time” I moved away from the conversation.

“Nah, miss me with that. You gotta tell them now” August grabbed my arm. I looked at the ground; I didn’t really care if they knew. Sure they are happy to have a grandchild, but I did it outta wedlock.

“Nah, bro, I said later, and I mean it” I shook his hand off me. August looked at me, then to Odell, but he just shrugged.

“Since you clearly don’t know ill explain it to you. Mom and dad always thought of me as the fuck up child. The child that would do everything in disgrace. Don’t stand here and tell me otherwise because I heard them one night when you were gone out with your girlfriend. The day when you put hoes before me,” I explained.

“Ash, I’m sorry. I had no idea” he touched my arm.

I stepped back, “Doesn’t matter anymore. I proved that I was the fuck up.”

“You most definitely ain’t no fuck up,” Odell spoke up. I looked at Odell and gave him a weak smile; he was always sticking up for me.

WHERE DREAMS COME TRUE.

CHAPTER 18. “Yes, hold on,” I hastily removed my shirt and put on the pile of our bag and her leggings. “Wait, don’t you want photos first?”...
