PREGNANT.

CHAPTER 10.
The following day I woke, and I felt so good. Odell's massage was so great last night, and it was long overdue. I need to take better care of my body better. I also made up with my parents; I felt perfect. Then it hit me, a wave of nausea. I got up and ran to the bathroom, just in time too. Everything I ate last night came back up, disgusting, I know. I think today I'm just going to finish my paper and relax.

I went back into the room, and I didn't see Odell. I checked the apartment, but he was nowhere in sight; maybe he had practice. I went to my desk and took a seat and turned on my laptop, and got started working.

~Odell POV~

I got up early and left Ash's apartment early. I had to get everything set up for today. Today was the day, the day I was going to propose to Ashlyn. We dated for two years as a secret, and now that we have come out, I think it's time to ask her finally. I wanted to go all out for her. The only thing left to do is ask August. No big deal, right....?

I was on my way over to August's house. I asked him if I could come over for a hot second. When I pulled up, I found Gabby and August standing outside August's house. I parked and got out.

"O, my man. What's up" August held out his hand. We did our little bro hug.

"Not much, man. I just wanted to holler at you for a moment. I'm glad I caught the two of you together. Not like that's new or anything" I gave them a sneaky smirk.

Gabby playfully punched my arm, "Boy, hush, what do you want." Out of the corner of my eye, I saw August chuckling.

"I'm going just to come out and say it. I want to marry Ashlyn," I said. They both looked at me, well, stared at me. Gabby had her mouth gaped open, and August glared at me. "One of y'all say something." I shifted sides.

"I ain't got time for no bullshit, man, that's my little sister, and if your intentions aren't good, then call the shit off now," August said.

"I agree, she's like my sister, and if you were to hurt her with your bullshit.... you don't even wanna know," Gabby agreed with August. Wow, it's crazy that they think I'm going to hurt her.

"Damn, well, I guess honesty is the best thing. It isn't like that. We had to hide our relationship for two years because she was afraid of how August would take the news. I wanted to come out and tell all of you, but I also respected my girl's wishes," I explained.

They just stared me down, thinking I was going to crack and give in, but I wanted to marry Ash.

"Alright, fine. You have my blessings, but you better keep your shit together. No late night out, no partying, drinking, or any of that because that'll get you in trouble," August said.

"You have mine as well. Don't waste it," Gabby said. She was eyeing me suspiciously, but I didn't blame them. Not with how my past was. I will show them, though, that my intentions are good.

"Last question, you wouldn't happen to know her ring size," I asked? They both just smiled at me.

~Ashlyn POV~

I sent my professor the paper and smiled to myself. I got it done, and now I'm free. I got up and went into my bathroom. Looking at myself in the mirror, I scared myself. I looked rough. I turned to the side and touched my stomach. I was seriously showing. I put my hair in a high ponytail, stripped out my clothes, and got in the shower. After I was done, I got out and wrapped a towel around my body. I put my hair up into a messy bun and then brushed my teeth. After my teeth was done and my face was washed, I applied my makeup. I had just finished with my look when I heard my phone ringing. I went out of the bathroom and went into my bedroom. I opened the door and nearly jumped out of my skin.

"Odell, you scared the crap outta me," I sighed.

He gave me his award-winning smile, "So sorry. I'll lotion you up". Well, since he was offering. I grabbed the lotion off the dresser and handed it to him, and then I laid on the bed. He started with my feet and made his way up, giving me a nice massage. After he was done, I got up and got a nice clean pair of underwear.

"I wanna take you out," Odell blurted out.

"Okay, I finished my paper today, too," I replied.

He hugged me, " That's great. I knew you could do it". I went into my closet and picked out a floral dress and sky blue pumps. I put my outfit on and my shoes. I grabbed my black clutch with the strap and went back into the room.

"Beautiful," Odell said.

I blushed, "Thank you." He held out his hand, and I took it. We left my apartment, and when we got downstairs, he had a driver waiting.

"Odell, what do you think you are doing," I asked?

"Taking my beautiful girlfriend out. Giving you only what you deserve," he told me. I smiled at him and then I got in the car, the driver closed it behind me. He drove us to an airstrip. Oh gosh, I'm afraid of heights. Odell came around the car and helped me; he held onto my hand as we walked over to a helicopter.

"It may not be original, but what matters the most is being here with you and being able to even do this for you," Odell told me.

I couldn't hold back my smile, " Awe, babe. That's so sweet". I stopped him and kissed him; he was so sweet. We got on the helicopter, and I gripped Odell's hand much harder. We all got headsets, and then we were up in the air. I let out a sigh of breath after about two minutes in the air.

"This is so amazing; it's so beautiful up here," I said, gazing out the window. I glanced at Odell; he was smiling at me. We flew for another five minutes before landing. He tied something around my eyes, and then he helped me off the helicopter. We walked for about 30 seconds then he placed me in a specific spot.

"Okay, you ready," he asked?

"Of course," I smiled. He took the blindfold off, and I blinked a couple of times. We were at some park if I remember correctly it's "The High Line" park. It was beautiful; a table was set up with flowers in a vase: two plates and a violinist in the background playing lovely music.

"Odell... I'm going to ruin what little makeup I have on" I turned to him. He was down on one knee, holding out a gorgeous expensive-looking ring.

"Ashlyn Alsina, you light up my world and make me the happiest man alive. I love being around you, and I love your personality; you make me a better man. I would be extremely honored to become your husband. Will you marry me" he said.

I know I look like a horrible mess. I could feel the tears coming down my face, "Of course I will, Odell." He hugged me and kissed me. He pulled back and then put the ring on my finger.

"It looks good on your hand," Odell smiled, wiping the tears off my face.

"Thank you. I'm so happy," I beamed. He took my hand and led me to the table, he pulled out the chair, and I sat down, then he walked around and sat down as well. We ate our meal, and I was on cloud nine; nothing could ruin my mood.

WHERE DREAMS COME TRUE.

CHAPTER 18. “Yes, hold on,” I hastily removed my shirt and put on the pile of our bag and her leggings. “Wait, don’t you want photos first?”...
